Hi, I'm 23 and I'm looking to join or start a band with people around my age. More in the punk/pop/rock genre, but I'm open to experimenting and see what we come up with. Um. Some of my fav bands/singers are Alien Ant Farm, No Doubt, FeFe Dobson, Paramore, All-American Rejects, Fallout Boy, Blink 182, Robyn, hinder, (you get the gist) Lol. I'm pretty laid back. I don't do any drugs (I have never even smoked before lol) Looking for people who aren't into any HARD drugs though. I'm new to this, but I'm serious about it so shoot me and email and I'll respond with a couple of my vocals I've recorded. Hopefully you dig them :-)

I am a guitarist with eight years playing experience and five years performance experience and I'm interested in either joining or forming a band. I can also play bass, but do not have a rig because I'm primarily a guitarist :)

Some of the genres I'm into are funk, blues, folk, reggae, stoner rock, stoner metal, post punk, post rock, the list goes. However, country and pop/emo acts SHOULD NOT contact me because I have no interest in those genres at all.

We are StereoTALK!!!!Atlanta's only live action Hip Hop/Punk Rock band with kung fu grip
we love kicking it with other bands, so we are looking for a opening act for a show we have on
12/17 at the drunken unicorn, we wanna give another band a chance to play at a great venue, hopefully

Joining a band: I enjoy many styles of music. I can play all styles of rock, jazz, blues, and some reggae (I do not do country). The last group I was in was kinda heavy and emo sounding so I think I want to avoid this sound now...maybe playing with a stoner rock group in the vein of Electric Wizard or Boris would be cool. Either way, if you're a tight knit group of musicians, I'm a good team player and am willing to show up to practice on time and help contribute to your musical vision.

Forming a band:
In terms of forming a band, here is my vision. Picture this...the Doors are playing on a small stage in a whiskey and sweat soaked bar. The whole joint smells like cigarettes, booze, and puke from the night before. The Rolling Stones are playing pool in the corner, members of the band Hawkwind are gambling in the back rooms, Janis Joplin is the foul mouthed bartender, and some of the guys like Ian Mckaye and Bad Brains from the DC punk scene are working the door. Nick Drake is drunk and poetically musing about women at the bar. On top of all that, the band Neurosis runs and owns this bar.
