Inner Frequency has been chosen to compete in the final round of the Land Shark Lager Battle of the Bands. Fans can vote for the band, view a live video of their tune “Satellite,” and download a free copy of “Big Talker” at http://www.landsharkrocks.com/BandProfile.aspx?c=7158&p=324 through November 23.
Inner Frequency finished in the top 20 of the southwestern region based on online votes and was then selected as one of the top 4 from the region by judges from Land Shark Lager and Rhapsody. They traveled to Austin on October 9 for a live video taping on the stages at KLRU studios where Austin City Limits is filmed. The tune “Satellite,” from their most recent CD Surge which was released earlier this year, can be viewed on the voting site at www.landsharkrocks.com. Inner Frequency is composed of Cara Young, lead singer and songwriter, originally from Georgia. Cara attended college at Middle Tennessee State University and then worked in the music business in Nashville, TN before moving to Dallas, TX; Jon Mosig, drums and backing vocals, from Arlington, TX; Bryan Plemons, bass guitar, from Texas; And playing with the band specially for the Battle of the Bands: Matthew Johnson who plays with Patrice Pike from Austin, TX and Dave Perez from hard rock band Invain, who calls Dallas home now after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina from his hometown of New Orleans. New Novelty Band: "ISS" consisting of Kids under 13 years old needed for Studio Recording and Atlanta Gigs. Needed are any musician that can play at an advanced level for their age. Must be 13 years old or under and play R&B and Rock and Roll. No Metal heads...Must be willing to rehearse in Sandy Springs studio. Songs include: Superstition, Layla, 21 Guns
Instruments needed: Bass Piano Sax Guitars and drums already filled. Should be able to read music not tab and audition for spot. ANNAMERCURY Marinated together in early 2009 as the 5 member band like blending choice seasoned spices in a culinary treasure to create rock music for the world. Although, initially each member helms from different corners of the west region of the United States. They met and formed the band while living in Seattle, WA after a consistent time of artistically crossing paths. We are currently seeking the following musicians: Bassist – Must have pro attitude and work ethic, provide own gear, be a fast learner, and play by ear. Background vocals, songwriting, and connections in the industry are a plus. Drummer – Must have pro attitude and work ethic, good timing, ability to play by ear, and provide own gear. Salut,
I'm new to the Atlanta area and am interested in finding a few guys to play with and maybe start a band. I play guitar and synth as well, but I would like to find someone to play guitar so I don't always need to play. Drummer. Bassist. I don't expect for anyone to be at the top of their game by any means, I know I'm not =0 But, it would be cool for the guitarist to be versatile and know how to use some out there tunings. Drummer to be really tight and have a nice sounding ride haha. And for the bass player to be able to not only hold the rhythm, but also be capable of doing some cool background fills. If I come off as wanting too much, don't hesitate to reply anyway. These are just idealistic. I listen to a variety of music; bands such as Metric, The Sounds, Ladyhawke, Third Eye Blind, U2, No Doubt, Ultra Orange et Emmanuelle, Blondie, etc etc. I primarily get around (okay, almost exclusively) via the metro, so it's a huge advantage if I can find some people here in Atlanta or close enough. Anyway... I wanted to make an attempt at posting something with a lot of information because I really would like to find some people to play with ! Age isn't a huge factor, but I would think 17 or 18 to mid twenties would be good. I am a guitarist with eight years playing experience and five years performance experience and I'm interested in either joining or forming a band. I can also play bass, but do not have a rig because I'm primarily a guitarist :)
Some of the genres I'm into are funk, blues, folk, reggae, stoner rock, stoner metal, post punk, post rock, the list goes. However, country and pop/emo acts SHOULD NOT contact me because I have no interest in those genres at all.
