Nanny/ Babysitter/ Mother's Helper/ Housekeeper Looking for PT or FT

Hello! Thank for taking time out of your schedule to look at my ad! I am an energetic, trustworthy, and reliable nanny, babysitter, and mother's helper. I have been taking care of children for the last six years. I have worked with newborns, infants, toddlers, preschooler, school-aged, teens and multiples.

I am not the babysitter or nanny that comes to your house and tell the children to just play in their rooms while I watch TV. I will play with them and engage them in something that will teach them while having fun. In a typical day, your child and I will have music time, reading time, language time where we will learn Spanish and/or sign language, independent play time, arts and crafts, outside time, and ABC time. When working with children I am very patient and I give them the personal attention they require. I try to be creative and imaginable with children. My main goal as your nanny will not only be the intellectual development of your child, but the emotional and social development. I will make sure they are reaching their milestones. I also promise not to just focus on one area, but on every area. I will make sure your child is clean and if they are still in diapers, to change their diaper as soon as I notice that it needs changing. I will make sure your child is safe at all times, but I will also make sure to let them test the waters. If you child shows interests in something, I will let him/her test it out and openly explore it, unless it is something dangerous. If your child has any problems, I promise to listen to them and do my best to solve that problem. Even if it takes doing research on my own time. The most important part of the nanny-parent relationship is communication. I will always let you know when something is wrong with your child or if your child did something spectacular.I will give you a detailed report of everything your child and I did that day and what we ate. You will receive that after each day via email or handout.

Discipline is something that is up to the family. I do not feel comfortable spanking or hitting children. I have mostly used time outs and taking away rewards. Another style I have used is ignoring the bad and rewarding the good. I have found it very effective, but I can adapt to your method.

I am a quick-learner and will learn your ways of doing anything when it comes to household chores. I can follow a list, so if you want help with the dishes and laundry, it will be done. But you won't have to tell me everything. If I notice that something is not done, such as the dishes, I will help out and do them. I have excellent time management skills. I can multitask. I do well at balancing childcare with running errands or meal preparation. I am a fair cook and can make simple meals with a recipe.

I know basic baby sign language and basic Spanish and I am still learning to improve my skills. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I am strong enough to lift heavy things. I have reliable transportation. I know how to swim and am not a smoker. I have a background check on file, references, and a resume. I live in Lilburn,Ga.

I am looking for a part time or full time (20+ hours a week) position with a wonderful family. I am also available for evenings, overnights, weekends, and date nights. I am flexible to any schedule. Once determined the hours I will work per week, I will need that amount of hours, but the days and time of the day can change and I will be able to adapt. I am available for emergencies and short notices. Once employed, I will keep my cell phone on at all times and will answer every call from you. I normally charge between $10 and $15 depending on if there is any household work that needs to be done and if your child has any special needs; however my rate is negotiable. I will travel to Gwinnett cities, Dekalb cities, Atlanta, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Alpharetta, and Dunwoody. If there is a city in between that I missed, feel free to ask me if I will travel to you.

I also have some experience with children who have special needs. If your child has special needs, do not hesitate to contact me. My experience is with Children who have autism. The first child I worked with was on the higher end of the spectrum. She had trouble making eye contact and used repetitive speech and behavior. The second child I worked was in the middle. He had trouble communicating and had sleep trouble. Though I have limited experience with most special needs disorders, I am very willing to learn. I do not mind helping with therapies or transporting to therapy. I do not have problems with wheelchairs or changing diapers.

I believe that when working with another family, I will become part of your family. I look forward to hearing from you. If there are any questions, feel free to email me through Backpage or call me at 770-378-8306.

About Me: I graduated from high school in 2007. I attended college for two years and am now taking a break. I plan to go back and finish my degree. When I attend college, I plan to continue with an early childhood education major with an emphasis in special education. My goal is to work with kindergarten and first grade special needs students because I have a passion for wanting to make their life better.
