What you’ll be doing...

Fleetmatics has an immediate need for a Systems Engineer to join our existing team Systems Engineers within the Development Operations team. This role will help facilitate the deployment maintenance and performance tuning of our award winning SaaS application.
•Excellent in-depth knowledge of Windows Server from 2008 to 2012R2.
•Setup Hyper-V Failover Clustering and using PowerShell to automate manual tasks.
•Operation, administration and automation of cloud platforms including: Azure and AWS.
•Creating and implementing standard image templates in Windows & Linux and enforcing system standards.
•Monitoring performance, troubleshoot systems problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, collaborating with System Engineers & Architects on optimization.
•Setup systems and application monitoring / reporting using Solarwinds / AppDynamics.
•Automation of day to day tasks using scripting languages such as Powershell
•Management of our Commvault backup infrastructure
•Deployment of operating system and hardware based updates using WSUS and Dell Openmanage Essentials
•Monitoring performance, troubleshooting systems problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, patching, collaborating with System Engineers & Architects on optimization
•Provide on call support for the Development Operations team in an outage situation.
•Work as part of the team to ensure projects and goals are delivered to aggressive timelines.
•Ongoing maintenance of documentation relating to new and current systems throughout the organization.

What we’re looking for...

Essential Experience
•3+ years of proven experience as Systems Engineer in a Windows/Linux environment.
•Excellent knowledge and troubleshooting ability on all aspects of the Networking Stack.
•Experience working in an operating system agnostic infrastructure (Linux RHEL/Windows).
•Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.
•Experience in implementing operational automation a distinct advantage.

•BSc computer science/engineering or higher
•Excellent communications skills to clearly articulate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization (both technical and non-technical).
•Current Microsoft MCSE/MCITP, Cisco CCNA/CCNP and/or equivalent certification(s).
