Our client is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a 6 - 12 month contract in Norcross GA.
Role: Senior Business Analyst Job Description
Works as a primary interface between various business units in order to elicit, analyze, validate, document, communicate and manage requirements for projects through the entire lifecycle of the project. The Business Analyst understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and plays an active role in providing direction, oversight and co-ordination to requirements management activities across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities
• Serves as the owner of the entire requirements management process. • Serves as the primary interface between BUs for executing requirements management process. • Identifies and coordinates requirement inputs from different stakeholders. • Facilitates joint requirements planning (JRP) workshop with BUs. The objective of the JRP session is to elicit and validate requirements. • Analyzes and validates business requirements for completeness and consistency. • Translates business requirements into functional requirements. • Assists Solution Consultant and Project manager develop Level 0 and Level 1 estimates. • Obtains sign-off on requirements from BU sponsor. • Documents and communicates requirements and assumptions to project teams. • Works closely with the Project Manager to confirm alignment of the requirements management plan with the overall project management plan. • Develops and maintains requirement traceability matrix to track requirements across the project lifecycle. • Validates acceptance test cases and test results to ensure that the test outcomes are meeting original business requirements. Required Skills
• Broad/versatile knowledge of financial industry products and services and the business processes used to enable those products and services. • In-depth understanding of infrastructure engineering with baseline knowledge of application architecture, integration architecture and data architecture. • Significant knowledge of requirements engineering and familiarity with at least one software development lifecycle methodology. • Baseline understanding of project management. • Ability to develop and manage critical success factors. • Strong problem solving and logical reasoning skills, Leadership and decision making skills. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Ability to facilitate workshops.
