GP Professional is seeking a successful candidate for our Training Manager - Sales Force and Distributor Effectiveness (SFE/DE) position.

This role will be responsible for supporting the GP Professional (GP PRO) organization within our Consumer Products Division for virtual, field, national sales, and sales support teams. The incumbent will direct learning and development activities relative to talent development, professional skills and competencies, new hire and emerging leader optimization, and will execute live and virtual training platforms with the goal of increasing Georgia-Pacific’s profitability and marketplace penetration.


Primary responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:

the development and delivery of live/virtual training programs and initiatives; conducting needs assessments; leveraging technology to design and launch training interventions; developing learning platforms for GP PRO sales teams; and professional facilitation of classes and workshops. This position is based in Atlanta, GA, and the incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless execution for all sales teams. This position will report to the Training Director.


Responsibilities:

50% - Training Program Developer. Design and develop live and virtual/remote-based training programs for new skills and improved capabilities, based on the GP Professional Sales Vision. Training topics may include: sales execution, enhanced communication, product training, sales methodology and strategic planning, business planning, financial/business acumen, new hire and emerging leader training. Classroom materials, activities, and the use of technology job aids and online sales tools are key elements in designing a robust training program. Strong project management, creativity, drive, and collaboration are required.

30% - Virtual/Live Classroom Instructor/Facilitator. Lead facilitator for all new sales training programs for live and virtual training events. Employs effective meeting management and facilitation techniques in live learning events and virtual training clinics. Provides ongoing coaching for skills improvement and facilitation techniques for peer field/virtual trainers. Strong, proficient, and polished presentation and facilitation skills are required. Virtual training facilitation skills to lead distance learning clinics, and skilled at using digital and virtual collaboration tools, are also required.

20% - Sales Effectiveness & Productivity Tools Manager. Consults and provides organizational alignment on salesforce effectiveness tools for maximum productivity. Develops new/enhances existing digital and technical sales tools with cross-functional teams to ensure that sales execution programs are consistently implemented and sales behaviors reinforced. Monitors and reports the effectiveness of sales training on employees during the onboarding period and continues through to professional development and career advancement. Researches, benchmarks, and assesses new training programs and vendors’ solutions that would increase the overall effectiveness of the sales curriculum.


Job Requirements

What You Will Need:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years of work/educational experience in field sales, manufacturing/consumer products sales, supervisor/managerial, leadership, training facilitation and/or customer service role
• Microsoft Office Suite of Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel; Adobe; and virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Web-Ex, Skype, Microsoft, Skype, Microsoft Hub)
• Must be willing and able to travel 20%


What Will Put You Ahead?

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or adult academic education
• 2-3 years of adult education, facilitation/instruction experience in a business/corporate or sales training environment
• Experience using a customer relationship management tool (e.g., Salesforce.com®)
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or Learner Record Stores (LRS) interfaces
