I help disabled veterans & seniors by providing loving assistance with their daily task, be it preparing meals;feeding. Reminding them to take or assisting with medications. Hygiene: Baths, dressing, hair, make up, cleaning teeth, shaving etc. To keep our minds alert & focused we do puzzles, play cards, board games & do word finds. It is important to keep familiar routines for it helps keep their sense of independence especially when one is in the early stages of dementia or alzheimers. I accompany them to social events, community meetings even bingo. Transportation is provided doctors appointments as well as those wonderful visits with family and friends. Some enjoy going shopping grocery or otherwise; on occassion when they aren't feeling up to the outtings i do errands alone such as picking up medications, dropping off dry cleaning, taking the family pet to the groomer etc. Sometimes i am asked to read to them be it the Bible/newspaper/letters/bills I provide that one-to-one attention they deserve and you gain the peace of mind because you have me a qualified, reliable caregiver/assistant & companion for your family member. My Availability: Monday through Friday 7:00P.M.- 5:00A.M. Weekends: Live In (OR) Out! Fridays 7:00P.M. through Mondays at 5:00A.M. Okay with Pets! Will travel up to 20/30 miles! Rate $15/ Hourly.
