Position Summary 13;
The Advertising Operations Manager will oversee the day to day functions of the Traffic Department. Management of the processes and the production of daily program logs for The Weather Channel. This role will have direct input into the performance management and development of the team. The Advertising Operations Manager will support the Director, Advertising Operations with instilling department culture which supports professional development and growth, team first, collaboration and a positive and productive work environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining advertising systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 13;
:Responsible for hiring and training department personnel, conducting performance and salary reviews and creating personal development plans
:Allocate resources and prioritizes work
:Provide accurate and timely management reports
:Lead the continuous process improvement effort under the direction of the Director, Advertising Operations with a view to optimizing customer service, costs and efficiency. Constantly challenges and re:evaluates departmental policies and processes to maximize revenue and minimize makegoods and credits
:Build technically viable show Clocks and Formats to reflect company requirements of maximizing revenue and meeting contractual obligations
:Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers; identify and develop strategies to meet their needs
:Maintain familiarity and understanding of strategies and philosophies for The Weather Channel. Enforce and adhere to company policies and procedures
:Develop and adhere to written policies and procedures for the Traffic Department including deadlines and turnaround times
:Provide clear, concise, and actionable information related to projects/tasks
:Provide assistance whenever and wherever needed
:Trouble shoot Traffic system issues as needed to ensure daily logs are published in a timely manner
:Manage Excess and Liability using Starpost updates
:Posting responsibilities include: Accurately update and maintain the posting system Starpost multiple times each week. Complete and send the TWC required reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly 13;
Education, Experience, Certification Requirements 13;
:Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 13;
:Minimum 5 years' experience in a Traffic environment 13;
