POSITION PROFILE
Researches, designs, develops and/or delivers training solutions and specialized learning materials for complex technology products or processes and programs that support the internal and external Technology Services customer. Responsibilities may also include program support and delivery. Works with functional experts to develop programs that achieve the defined learning and business objectives. Ensure all learning programs use adult learning principles and can be delivered in adherence to IPSTIPI/CompTIA CTT+ standards and guidelines.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provides support to the Technology Services business unit, recommending and developing video training solutions that support the unit's business strategy, complementing existing programs and/or supporting Ricoh's expanding repertoire of Technology offerings and services.
* Performs analysis to ensure training solutions meet the highest standards and recommends appropriate action. This may include benchmarking, evaluating prior learner performance and feedback, and soliciting business stake holder's feedback from earlier related projects.
* Partners with subject matter experts, training delivery team and functional business partners through job shadowing to understand job functions and business processes. Conducts needs assessments and analysis.
* Produces the full range of tools and materials required to deliver the highest quality training programs to clients. These programs will support delivery in compliance with accepted standards for quality training delivery, e.g. IPSTIPI Standards or CTT+ domains.
* Completes the design of project materials for the learning program: Assists in the implementation of the project scope as it relates to learning programs; assists in the development of an outline of the learning program and its appropriateness to the program.
* Completes the development of materials for the learning program: Writes systems training for learners/instructors; judges the accuracy, completeness and appropriateness of existing or new materials in a selected medium.
* Assists in the implementation of learning programs; assists in the development of rollout programs (such as Train-the-Trainer, IT plans, vendor management), and project plans; assists with analyzing the results from the learning program.
* Implements alternative approaches to learning delivery, including blended learning solutions and other learning technologies.
* Solicits and analyzes feedback from business unit stake holders, learners and or training delivery staff on effectiveness of training solutions in meeting learning objectives and supporting business goals. Proposes changes to program design as appropriate to address gaps in achieving goals.
* Monitors changes in the business unit's processes that may require changes to the training program, recommends appropriate remedies, and upon approval implements those remedies.
* Modifies, revises and updates the content of existing training programs to include new techniques and approaches to professional training programs.
* Proactively enhances skills/ knowledge by attending seminars/ workshops in given field; incorporates new learning in work.
* May mentor &/or provide training and guidance to less experienced team members.
* May need to satisfy additional specific technology/industry recognized certification criteria in order to demonstrate a continued level of proficiency and professionalism in the industry.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
* Typically requires:
* 4-year college degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.
* Minimum 1 Industry PC Networking Technology/Networking certification (e.g. A+, Network+, Server+, MCP) or Business Process Improvement certification (e.g. Project +, PDCA, Six Sigma, TQM, DDI)
* Minimum 1 Industry Training Development or Training Delivery certification (e.g. CTT+, Virtual CTT+, Instructional Design)
* Minimum of 5 years experience in Instructional Design and/or Development and/or Training, or 10 years technology industry experience with project management responsibility.
* Familiarity with the instructional design modes, as well as excellent multi-tasking abilities while working on multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. Must work well in a team environment. Oracle knowledge a plus. Learning delivery experience is a plus.
