The Financial Analyst will be working in the 3rd party reimbursement department. Uses organizational defined solutions and strategies to support the delivery of financial performance analytics, cost accounting and budgeting in support of Strategy, Business Planning, Operational Performance and other decision:making opportunities. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promotes a safe environment at Childrens by participating in the development of metrics and systems of measurement in Quality and Outcome.
The Reimbursement Department is responsible for identifying the month end contractual allowances for the system as well as filing requirements, State and Federal reports that identify our costs, charges and charity provided. 13;
:Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field 13;
:No professional certifications required 13;
:3 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Decision Support, accounting, cost accounting budgeting, finance, or strategic planning
:1 year of experience using database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and Essbase 13;
:3+ years experience financial analysis experience working with 3rd party reimbursements, Medicare and Medicaid.
:Epic : HB and PB experience 13;
:Demonstrated ability to prioritize and efficiently complete multiple task at the same time
:Must be team oriented with the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate at the staff, manager, and director level across the organization
:Must possess excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills
:Requires strong analytical skills and an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles 13;
:Work with the system tools, architecture, and data to support the delivery of evidence based financial decision:making deliverables using the defined strategy and end user requirements.
:Filing Medicaid and Medicare Cost Reports.
:Participate in the aspects of data integration, retrieval, processing, and validation.
:Perform data validation/verification processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely system balancing between source and destination data.
:Support the development of actionable plans to prepare and develop achievable/sustainable information deliverables.
:Participate in project teams that implement and configure financial performance analytic, budgeting, and cost accounting solutions.
:Implement financial performance analytics to include creation of innovative ideas that enable profitable growth potential at a strategic and tactical level.
:Provide training and function as a knowledge resource to end users of the Budgeting, Cost Accounting, and Business Intelligence tools.
:May maintain, monitor, and run one or more financial systems. 13;
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.

Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
