Application Development Specialist : Lubricant and/or Metal Working
:This position is accountable for achieving profitable sales growth with L and MW customers. This is accomplished primarily by working with Univar LCD sellers, sales management, the product management team and directly with customers to identify and close new opportunities. Building strong internal and external relationships is critical.
:This position also serves as the regional expert and the first point of contact for all technical support related activities.
:Drive the territory's sales activities to obtain budgeted volumes, revenue, and delivered gross profits. This role owns the regional opportunity pipeline in L and MW
:Conducts joint sales calls with the LCD Sellers to help increase market penetration and close target accounts. Makes recommendations on products, provide technical and market information
:Develop and maintain an in:depth knowledge of the products, services, and markets, in order to match Univar's products and services to existing and prospective customer needs. Clearly develops and articulates customer specific value propositions aligned with the business strategy and corporate competencies.
:Helps develop and implement sales plans to support Univar's L and MW products and market growth strategies
:Identify and interpret account trends, competitive and market activity. Utilize this information to develop strategies designed to grow the territory.
:Helps ensure a high degree of loyalty / customer satisfaction from the top 20 accounts through effective collaboration with sales and business management, while also researching, identifying, and seeking out growth opportunities.
:Develop strong relationships with the Univar LCD sellers and their management to effectively prospect, develop, and close new sales opportunities.
Conduct specified number of effective sales calls per week as defined by territory requirements. Heavy focus on the customer's lab and technical personnel.
:Uses SFDC as the primary business system to maintain customer profiles, contacts, work notes, activities, CPP, and Opportunities and ensure regional sales team is properly updating and maintaining their respective pipeline within L and MW
:Monitor and report new business and marketing trends within the territory to sales leadership, marketing, product management and key suppliers as necessary.
:Safeguards all company assets including account/territory knowledge.
:Assist in Business plan development : Goals, forecasts.
:Assist in tradeshow (national and local) and industry conference/meetings; website info, literature development
:Travel: 30 : 50
:Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the L and MW industry
:High level of technical skills.
:Strong balances between commercial and technical acumen
:Strong organizational skills with demonstrated track record of success.
:Highly motivated to grow existing customers and prospect new customers
:Strong PC skills including: Excel, SDFC .
