Develops and manages systemwide privileging and credentialing processes to meet the strategic, marketing, and accreditation objectives of the organization. Aids in the development, implementation, and maintenance of processes and systems necessary to ensure Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta professional staff leadership achieves optimal performance in compliance with system values, mission, and goals. Ensures compliance with applicable credentialing standards as set forth by the Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare and health law agents. Works proactively with professional staff and leadership team to anticipate needs, provide education, and serve as an agent for change. Proactively support efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
:Bachelors degree in Business Administration or healthcare:related field 13;
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY 13;
:Valid Georgia drivers license
:Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM)
:Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) 13;
:5 years of experience in management/administration in practitioner credentialing and privileging 13;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* 13;
:Masters degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, or related field
:Experience with Cactus Software 13;
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES* 13;
:Must demonstrate management, leadership, and project management skills

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES* 13;
:Manages the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of all aspects of a centralized credentialing/re:credentialing process for all system practitioners as dictated by the organizational objectives and strategic plan.
:Manages the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of provider data management systems for medical staff credentialing, privileging, emergency call, and provider directory applications.
:Researches and develops automated solutions for the use of physician data by organization staff, including credentialing tasks, managed care functions, billing, electronic medical records, and Information Systems and Technology.
:Partners with professional staff leadership to identify current, relevant specialty:specific practice indicators and conducts routine review and revision as appropriate to ensure indicators remain current and relevant.
:Partners with Medical Staff Services as relates to practitioners focused professional practice evaluations and ensures appropriate reports are compiled and reviewed.
:Manages compliance with payor delegated credentialing agreements in coordination with Managed Care and Reimbursement, The Childrens Health Network, and The Childrens Care Network.
:Maintains all processes in strict compliance with Joint Commission, National Committee for Quality Assurance, and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta standards.
:Acts as a resource to medical and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta staff regarding practitioner privileging, credentialing, and Medical Staff Services support activities.
:Manages Medical Staff Services teams, including Provider Data Management and/or Credentialing, and/or Governance.
:Coordinates, plans, and executes staff meetings as needed, including team, department, and medical executive.
:Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
