JOB SUMMARY 13;
The summer internship program provides current college/graduate students the opportunity to work on meaningful, project:based assignments in various non:clinical areas.
Intern responsibilities may include project management, event planning/support, logistics, data base management, research and analysis. Students typically work full time during the summer program, which runs from mid May to early August.
The Public Relations Intern will support the efforts of the public relations team through a variety of activities including outreach to media, special projects, traditional and social media placement tracking, research on appropriate media contacts and editorial calendars, photography and content development for Childrens numerous social media channels and various administrative tasks. The PR Intern will have the opportunity to learn about cultivating relationships with media, facilitating news stories and creating compelling content for Childrens external audience.
College student working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, English or related field

:Previous Public Relations experience through internships or extracurricular activities preferred

:Experience with media tracking software and social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram preferred
:Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel within the metro Atlanta area

Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
