JOB SUMMARY 13;
The summer internship program provides current college/graduate students the opportunity to work on meaningful, project:based assignments in various non:clinical areas.
Intern responsibilities may include project management, event planning/support, logistics, data base management, research and analysis. Students typically work full time during the summer program, which runs from mid May to early August.
The Financial Systems Support department supports Corporate Finance with technology consultation, new technology project implementation and support, and functions as the subject matter experts on multiple Corporate Finance applications and technology initiatives. The Financial Systems Support Intern will implement or assist in implementing projects against Corporate Finance applications, and will support and participate in the continuous assessment and improvement of the quality of services provided by the Financial Systems Support department.
College student working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Computer Science, IT, Healthcare IT or related field

:Discovery and project scoping efforts on new implementation or application changes
:Project planning activities for new processes, procedures or changes in Financial applications
:Document financial application changes, processes or procedures related to existing or recently closed implementation efforts
:Assist with transition of projects/efforts from the Financial Systems Support team to Operational teams, including training, proactive oversight, and reporting to Management on the successes and challenges of the transitional efforts
:Assist with routine monitoring and analysis of existing processes and procedures for evaluation of potential future Financial Systems Support technology improvement projects
:Review and evaluate Financial Systems Support customer service goals and the quality of customer service provided :/h2: 13;
SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES* 13;
Safety: Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for the reporting of employee/patient/visitor injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor and in the occurrence notification system.
Compliance: Monitors and ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and policies and procedures related to area of responsibility. Identifies potential risk areas within area of responsibility and supports problem resolution process. Maintains records of compliance activities and reports compliance activities to the Compliance Office.
