JOB SUMMARY 13;
Supports, organizes, and provides quality patient care services as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Safely operates the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. Drives to locations as defined. Guides and provides destination set:up and breakdown at clinic session end. Proactively supports efforts that ensure delivery of safe patient care and services and promote a safe environment at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
:High school diploma or equivalent 13;
CERTIFICATION SUMMARY 13;
:Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment
:Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of employment
:Valid Georgia Class B commercial drivers license with air brake endorsement 13;
:2 years of experience in customer service support in a clinical setting 13;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* 13;
:Experience as an emergency medical technician, paramedic, or firefighter 13;
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES* 13;
:Must maintain eligibility to operate Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta vehicles per policy 5:12, Drivers Policy for Childrens Owned Vehicles

:Operates/drives the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Van in a safe manner.
:Manages complete set:up and take down of mobile clinic at locations as identified.
:Follows all safety processes.
:Works as an empowered employee within established guidelines, procedures, and protocols to provide administrative support for the care, welfare, safety, services, and security of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile van personnel, visitors, patients, and property.
:Maintains and appropriately uses vehicle and equipment, including daily checks and emergency equipment.
:Assists clinical staff as indicated, i.e., greeting patients and obtaining vital signs.
:Documents activities as appropriate.
:Remains current on security, transportation, and professional issues through readings and self:study.
:Implements appropriate security and safety measures and performs regular safety drills, aligning with Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta and school district safety standards.
:Ensures cleanliness, maintenance, and organization of Ronald McDonald Care Mobile Van.
:Interviews patients and families to obtain complete and accurate demographic and financial information.
:Ensures that all necessary questionnaires and forms are completed according to pre:determined requirements by government or regulatory agencies.
:Enters data into system for registration, billing, patient tracking, charge capture, and reconciliation in a fast, efficient way to minimize patient wait times.
:Confirms insurance coverage and obtains authorizations if applicable.
:Explains regulatory financial requirements to patient or responsible party and collects and posts deposits or deductible amounts as required.
:Schedules patient appointments when needed, including referrals from faxes, phones, or other instructions.
:Contacts physician offices to resolve discrepancies.
:May initiate and perform multi:tasked administrative duties to ensure efficient daily business operations, including participating in opening and closing procedures and assisting with maintaining, ordering, and restocking clerical supplies. 13;
