The Manager of Payer and Pricing Analysis will provide in:depth pricing and managed care market analysis to provide insights into business drivers and performance. The Manager will assist in the development of managed care contract forecasts, contract performance assessments, and managed care analysis. The Manager will prepare contract and channel projections and in:depth analysis of performance against projections. The manager will establish relationships with key business stakeholders to understand the key issues faced by their business areas and determine creative solutions, leveraging information and analytics, to meet their need. The Manager will also assist in the development and maintenance of bottom:up payer channel forecasting models, providing gross to net forecasts to optimize pricing strategy, and generating insights into pricing and contracting scenarios, health care reform, and market trends for Market Access, Marketing, Finance and Forecasting.
Major Accountabilities
The Manager will provide leadership and accountability across critical Market Access Analytical Processes, including:
:Contract forecasting and performance assessments
:Contract metric reporting and analysis
:Channel Forecasting and Analysis
:Building of models, analogs, and forecasts to support contracting decisions and analysis of key performance indicators identified by business needs
:Pricing analysis and reporting
:Analog development to estimate the impact of formulary changes
:Create customer dashboards and reports to support account executives, marketing and executive management insight
:Gross to Net Forecasting
:Completes special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
:Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Finance, Business, Statistics, or related field
:5 Years of demonstrated success in pharmaceutical analysis and reporting
:Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in Managed Care or Market Research.
:Strong communication skills : written and verbal
:Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint super:user
:Comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical data sources and business metrics, including EDI data, chargebacks, rebates, X:factory sales, third party data sources (pricing compendia, IMS data, specialty pharmacy, claims data)
:Ability to utilize multiple business intelligence platforms (e.g., Cognos, SAP, Clikview, etc.)
:Comprehensive understanding of pricing and forecasting techniques and challenges, including both theory and practical experience implementing dynamic forecasts
:Proven success in developing and implementing advanced analytical models
